Today was a signing of David Choe's self-titled hardcover book at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
When it was my turn to get my stuff signed, I had mentioned how at San Diego Comic-Con 2009, he had drawn my girlfriend a My Little Pony in her book:

Also, my friends' former teacher, Barron Storey, was in line ahead of us at the signing. Barron Storey may be familiar if you recognize the Lord of the Flies novel cover.
While we were in line, we were talking to him and his wife, and his wife was looking through my black book collection of sketches and signatures, and she suggested that Barron contributed to my book. And of course I could not deny such an offer. Here's the portrait (of myself) that Barron Storey did of me, for me.

Nice trip with Jessica, Dominic, & Bryant.

We were sarcastically going back and forth with him saying "oh, why do you go around telling people I draw ponies and shit. I don't draw that" etc. etc. and here's what he drew for me:

Also, we were talking about his Thumbs Up! series and how the new one hasn't gone up online yet.
